Hiking Mannen Lofoten & oops moments

Early views are best ✌️

We failed at the super early hike with missed 5:30am alarms all around but the light was still pretty golden a few hours later. Leaving via the trail over the road whilst dodging the local horses and boggy fields we made our way towards the peak of Steinskammen. A short but enjoyable hike that involved a touch of scrambling/bouldering, wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you're keen on that kinda thing.

Movement in the wild with a drone on orbit

My friend @torsteintrym decided to bust some moves out in the wild. I can't even do a handstand yet, this level of skill is incredible. 👏

Sunday evening views over Tangstad, Lofoten

After being in Lofoten for two weeks I am still in awe of the scenery here. Everywhere you look has another peak or ridge to explore. Finally my friends @peteveale & @critday have showed up to go on some adventures together. We decided to take on another quick but spectacular hike, Mannen peak.

Looking back towards the ridge

Everything was going well, having a great time running back down the ridge. Suddenly my foot and leg decided to go in different directions. Oops. Kind of hard to tell from the immediate aftermath shot but my ankle instantly turned into a ballon. Currently in the process of endless cycles of ice. Looks like that is game over for hiking/running for a little while. Perhaps even a long while, not looking so good the day after :(.

Ready for Laptop Club 🙈👨🏼‍💻

It's pretty ironic that I was about to start a new part of my website/Steem account to document my training and movement practices on the very day that this happened. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and you have to deal with it. At least it means I might finally get some laptop work done :)

Those morning rays are a great addition to those epic views! Norway looks so gorgeous! Hope you will recover soon of this adventure and be ready to go up to the mountains soon again!

Thanks, hoping recovery wont take too long but realistically it could be awhile :(

This part of Norway is incredible. How are your travels going?

Injury day one. Disaster! At least it wasn't an airlift situation.

Looks and sounds like an amazing hike! I hope your ankle gets better soon and won't hold you back for too long!

Lovr that third shot, Resteemed!
