Ratel's photos #271 Chipmunk
The Siberian chipmunk or common chipmunk (Eutamias sibiricus)
If you remember my last before the post about the wryneck, where I told how the bird drove the chipmunk away from its nest, then this post can be considered an extension.
A chipmunk drove away from the tree and ran around the foliage, and then, after seeing me, jumped on another tree.
They can sit for a long time without moving, in anticipation of reducing the threat.
They try to be invisible. However, if we begin to approach them, then, if they sit on a tree, they try to climb higher from danger. And if they are on the ground, they hide either in a hole or among thickets.
If you do not see them, but they see you, they warn the other chipmunks with a sharp clacking sound.
