Polish Landscapes - Spring time views from the countryside

Zapraszam do obejrzenia galerii zdjęć zrobionych przedwczoraj podczas wycieczki fotograficznej w rejony wiejskie Mazurskich plenerów. Dzień wcześniej pokonałem tą trasę w drodze do mojej babci razem z rodziną na wizytę, po drodze wypatrywałem ciekawych miejsc do odwiedzenia dnia następnego. Oto są efekty moich poszukiwań. Mozaika polskiego krajobrazu jest czymś co kocham, różnorodność pól, łąk, gatunków roślin, razem z jeziorami, lasami, rzekami i bagnami tworzą unikatową mieszankę w skali Europejskiej na pewno.

Podpisy pod zdjęciami sa w języku angielskim ale jeśli macie pytania o jakieś konkretne zdjęcie, piszcie komentarze!

Już dzisiaj zapraszam na bloga, bo więcej postów z Polski jest w drodze! Dzięki wielkie i do napisania!

As I promised, bigger gallery from my yesterday's morning car trip to rural areas of Masurian Lake District in north-east side of Poland.

Two days ago we went to my grandmother with a visit, she lives in a very small village called Kabiny, maybe 100 people lived there or maybe even not... On the road I was searching for an interesting spots to visit next day with my photographic gear and a little more time.

This collection is just a selection of some of the visited spots, too much for one post, don;t want You to be bored ;)... I whink I will keep the rest for another posts. I will try to put my short commentary for each photo, to get You closer on the subject and to tell You little more about my home country and belowed rural areas...

What I really like in polish landscape is its diversity - it is real mosaic of different ecosystems, small fields, forest areas of different kind and sizes, medows, some rivers, lakes, swamps, ground roads, old farms, and many many more... among them many different flowering trees, mot of them are giving good fruits in autumn which can be used to do some cakes, juices or moonshine ;)...

I started my trip around 8 AM - little later than I planned but it was really hard to organize the trip earlier... Here are two views from the hills in Polska Wieś towards Juno lake. Fantastic hilly landscape with far horizon and hazy air.

All kind of chorch's towers are common element of Polish landscapes...

Next stop on my way to destination point was this small pond in the middle of pasture. Good there was no cows yet... Old willow tree gives the nice detail to the view. Two elected shots below:

Very characteristic and common view are the group of migrating birds - here a group of swans. I am not sure what is the proper name in english for this migrating formation of birds, but here we call it "goose key" ...

I think this group was heading somewhere to Scandinavia for summer breeding grounds.

Another stop, another small pond, surrounded by alders which gave great reflections. Interesting details and shadows of this place caught my attention a day before.

And a view from differend side and a different angle:

Poland is great place for photography and for discovering interesting places. Many of the old villages or houses disappear, the only thing we can find today are remains of the huses and old orchards... Here also visible hunting pulpit on the other side of a meadow.

Countryside roads can be in very bad condition, most of them haven't been repaired for many years... most of them are also narrow so during photo-trips we have to pay a lot of attention on the road, not only looking around searching for another photo spots!

My final destination was a big and quite old forest. In this time of the year, all the forest floor is covered by flowers. First with violet liverwort (Hepatica nobilis) - but it was already too late for them, later with these common, white anemone flowers.

It was good time to visit the place but I think it won't last long, soon the leaves on the trees will be big enough to take all the sun light out from the forest floor...

Little less common are yellow anemone flowers, which also can create nice flower-carpet on the ground in more sunny and wet areas:

Lake Leginskie - quite a big lake with different shore line - by the lake vegetation is still minimal, not so long time ago a layer of ice was covering the lake, not, the climat there is still little more cold than in the middle of the forests around it...

My final destination was the group of monumental trees - protected by law very big and old Oak trees, in the forest near Leginskie lake. It is quite special place for me, well known trees as I was writing my master work about monumental trees in the area of Mragowo Forest District... I went there now, after many years, to see them closely, how they changed, how they are doing now... and I must admit, really bad thigs happend...but more of them and the details about my master work in some of next posts... It is very interesting subject so stay tuned!
