Positano - Italian greatness. And Happy birthday to me!
Positano coast
These views! Absolutely stunning and brilliant. Houses, hotels and literally everything on the steep slope. Lemon tree gardens on the steep slope. Just everything. If you someday go to Italy, this is the must-visit place. The only drawback is maybe the huge tourist wave and Amalfi and Positano are just stuffed. I thing being there in the evening will be a lot more peaceful, because all the tourists visit these cities in a day trips. Well, sleeping there goes with its cost. All the properties are maybe double or even triple the price of the other Italian hotels and places to stay.
One more thing... Driving there is extremely stressful and you must be always aware of literally everything around you. Buses, motorbikes, people walking by the roadway. The road is just enough for two normal size cars to pass by. And if you come to meet a bus. Stopping is absolutely obligatory. The bis drivers even warn you, that they are coming round the corner!
Let's picture this:
And parking is hard too! It requires driving skills at some extent...
And to summarize everything:
Visiting Amalfi positano? Yes!
Is driving funny? Yes, and a great experience.
Whats the recommended way to go? Bus or boat.
What's the best time to visit it? Maybe late, or in the evening, when the crowds leave the place.
Do I want to visit it again? Yes, of course!
See ya! And have a nice day!
And, Happy Birthday to me! Cheers!

Hi.
Nice place and for being a very nice city is full of tourists, and it is possible that because of so many tourists do not enjoy the maximum of the city, but just visiting a city like this one must live every moment and live the experience.
Greetings from Venezuela
Don't forget about the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods), a great hike in the area that gets you away from the tourists and crowds, but is still an amazing experience. Also Happy Birthday!
