As I mentioned, one of the best things about Assisi is, that somehow people managed to preserve the place pure and free of modern influence. A walk in the city brings you back to history. As soon as you enter the old city walls, you find yourself at a different world. Only the cars on the streets remind you, that you are actually in this universe and live in modern times.

Of course, you can enjoy all of the treats of our time. There are restaurants, cafes, shops and literally everything you can eventually need. And I can assure you, that the food there is really brilliant. I had maybe... actually it was for sure the best pizza of my life when I was in Assisi. And unexpectedly the prices are pretty normal and make no difference from the prices in the average Italian cities.

So, trust me, Assisi is a place that is absolutely must-to-visit if you happen to find yourself in Italy one day. It's absolutely worth it to dive into history and see how the things were looking in these times, that are maybe a bit forgotten nowadays.
