More Photographs from the California Surf Museum
This is another set of photos from the California Surf Museum in Oceanside. I probably have enough for one more set later. This one includes photographs of a famous surfer's board and also one that was bitten by a shark.
Here is the ocean nearby.
Here is an exhibit of boards used by many professionals.
There is a tribute to the late Eddie Aikau, a great surfer and lifeguard from Hawaii, one of the most beloved figures in surfing.
Here is one of Eddie Aikau's boards.
Another old board from Hawaii.
This is a small exhibit on body surfing. Some people body surf without any equipment, but others use flippers on their feet and these small hand boards to help them paddle.
This young lady was attacked by a shark while surfing. This is her board, which has a large bite out of it. She also lost her arm in the attack, but she has continued to surf.
