INSPIRED NEWBIE HERE! **need STEEMIT community help**

WOW! Ok so first off I am so so so EXTREMELY STOKED to be part of the STEEMIT!
I think that this is such an incredible community to be a part of!! There is so much potential in the people of steemit to bring about all kinds of good to this world, to be a solid community unlike any other social media, and to help each other out grow as individuals, creators, and people going through life.
As a bit of a side note, this whole platform does appear slightly confusing and daunting to me. If any of you would be so inclined to take a couple minutes to help explain to me how it works that would literally mean sooo much to me!
A little bit about me: First and foremost, I love Jesus, which means I love YOU all. I am a proud, born and raised Canadian boy from Montreal. I study in British Columbia at Trinity Western University.
I am a photographer and videographer for fun and am extremely excited to share some of my work HERE!
I absolutely love TRAVELLING and following an active, healthy lifestyle.
A little bit about this shot: It was an incredibly clear summer night. I went camping with some incredible bros out in the Adirondack WILDERNESS. The Milky Way was out and we all observed and captured it in incredible awe at what God had painted in the sky! This was a 15 minute exposure. I set my camera to bulb mode and used a dslr remote app on my phone.
