[FEMINISM] All Men Must Die

in #philosophy6 years ago (edited)

Some time ago, the Swedish duo RABBII released a single called "All Men Must Die." Of course, they now claim that the song does not support killing all men in a literal sense, but that it's tackling the problems that according to them are primarily created by men.

"The people who abuse, rape, hide away millions in tax havens, start wars and destroy the world have one thing in common. They are always men. Either we kill the 'man' we have created, or it kills us."

Unsurprisingly, some people have reacted to the single. To the degree that the band is now banned from Instagram.

The duo has since issued a statement via their Facebook page:

"Ok, so we're banned from instagram. Maybe a bunch of snowflake Men's right activists filed complaints or something. To you we say: Good job keeping the net clean from feminism! Also, fuck you to the moon and back. Fuck you fuck you fuck you FUCK YOU I hope you all feel big and powerful right now. We can't even start a new account, this is so bizarre. We have done absolutely NOTHING wrong, and believe us, there's plenty of illegal and repulsive things on Instagram they have no intention of removing, but saying that male culture is on the wrong track somehow crosses a line. If anyone knows anything that can help us, please reach out, coz we need it."

Now, let's look at their first statement about men being behind all the horrors in the world. In the post feminist / third wave feminist narrative only men are capable of violence, in fact, men are inherently violent and treated as weapons, from early childhood. This narrative permeate through the media, the law system as well as through the education system. But is it really so?

Fresh statistics from Sweden shows that men and women are equally at risk for spousal violence, with the only difference that the male violence overall is more severe. And when it comes to mutual combat partnerships, men and women instigate the violence equally often. And let's not forget about the violence against children - the main initiator of force are mothers. And as we know, the majority of adult on adult violence is to a large extent rooted in early childhood experiences. So, who really are responsible for the perpetuation and cycle of violence? Only men?

Something that has to be taken into consideration: in the year 2000, 1247 women and 440 men were killed by an intimate partner (USA). Consistently studies show that around 30% of all intimate violence is exclusively female on male. The most common domestic violence situation is the one where both the male and the female abuse each other (mutual combat or reciprocal violence).

Women are more violent to children then men are even when adjusted for the extra time that mothers spend with their children. 80% of all mothers in USA believe that spanking is acceptable for kids ages 1-3. This is what is usually left out of the narrative, be it in education books on family violence or in media. When I studied forensic psychology in the past I read a lot of books on family violence, and while they might admit that women CAN be violent, they never say to what extent. Page upon page is filled with male on female violence.

A study by Whitaker et al. (a study that was censored by Harvard) found the following:

"Objectives. We sought to examine the prevalence of reciprocal (i.e., perpetrated by both partners) and nonreciprocal intimate partner violence and to determine whether reciprocity is related to violence frequency and injury.

Methods. We analyzed data on young US adults aged 18 to 28 years from the 2001 National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, which contained information about partner violence and injury reported by 11 370 respondents on 18 761 heterosexual relationships.

Results. Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In non-reciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases. Reciprocity was associated with more frequent violence among women (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 2.3; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.9, 2.8), but not men (AOR = 1.26; 95% CI = 0.9, 1.7)."

So, as I said, all of the studies that have investigated gender differences in child abuse have controlled for the time variable and have found that women are extraordinarily more violent to children than men. These are studies that you never find in text books but have to dig out for yourself from Psychnet and other such sites that collect scientific studies. I don't know how big the difference is without controlling for the extra time that mothers spend with their children, because I quite frankly haven't seen a single study that hasn't controlled for it. What I can tell you is that when controlling for the extra time, women abuse children about 73% more than men do. That is an astoundingly large majority.

When children are murdered, more than 10% of the cases they were murdered by a mother who had won sole custody of the children after a divorce. Meanwhile a man with sole custody has never, not even once, (USA & Canada) murdered his children.

An analysis by the US Department of Health of the data of child maltreatment reports from 2001 to 2006, shows that 70.8% of the children killed by one parent were killed by their mothers. 70.6 of children abused by one parent were abused by their mothers and what is significant is that the majority of the victims (around 60%) were boys.

Do men kill their children? Yes, of course, but the majority of these cases are so called murder-suicides. And of course, when men kill their children, it's reported in media as a standard occurrence. When women murder their children on the other hand, it's often downplayed and blamed on insanity, postpartum psychosis, stress, deadbeat dads etc. Women in fact get away with the insanity defense more than 15 times as often as men do, because patriarchy right? Their chances of getting therapeutic treatment for murder is about 15 times higher than men. So, clearly women are being abusive against children more than men are, yet women get sole custody 90% of the time in USA. This disparity is such a clear example of how biased courts are.

Please do not abuse your kids and please do not use your kids as pawns and ruin their lives by taking away their father just because you're in disagreement with him, in some silly game of revenge. Children need their father, especially after the age of 1. In the neonatal phase they need a mother far more than they need a father, but as they are becoming self-aware, then hitting puberty and adulthood, they need their father. Going through puberty and adolescence without a father is one of the most painful traumas that a boy can go through. And it is also one of the greatest causes of criminality and anti social behavior later in life. The vast majority of male rapists grew up without fathers, and the vast majority of them also grew up with mothers who abused them.

As a final note, we cannot deal with aggression against children without acknowledging women's capacity for violence. We cannot deal with the cycle of violence if we're ignoring women's capacity for violence. If you have any aggressive, hostile or violent tendencies towards your children, please immediately seek counseling.

I think we are all going to find out in the end, it turns out some people do bad things, some people do good things, and these two truths apply to every single human of color, sex, religion, blah blah blah. There is just shitty people of all kinds. The flipside is there is great people all over the place and of all sorts of "types". These statements do not contradict or go against any analytics that were mentioned in your post. I can't wait for Mars!

Yes, important to point out that I'm in no way are aiming to blame women with this post, but rather pointing out the double standards. Family violence is a human problem. Not a gendered one.

Fucking bothered up of the cheap feminist society we're living in.
Thanks for the all the data.

As am I, thank you for reading.

The radical feminists that has somehow conquered far many of the feminist discourse are really just sexist conservatives. This is an example of the bad rhetoric that tries to widen the gap between men and women. Fourth wave feminism is just a mainstream version of the crazy late seventies early eighties radical feminists.
