I'm a really big fan of teaching by asking questions and framing challenges for learners to overcome themselves even if the teacher offers help.
The most memorable teachers and educators that have certainly changed my life used this approach and I tried to use it too in my past as a teacher and an informal educator.
There are many tools in a teacher's tool box. You never know what any particular student needs to make a connection, so I've taken on the strategy of constantly adding tools to my collection.
That is a very good point and a very good strategy indeed :)
