A Secret Found in a Pepper - Mayhaps It Is What You Seek?

People are always looking for answers, when answers are everywhere around us. One day, completely unbidden, while preparing a sweet pepper for a veggie wrap, I discovered an answer.

This answer begs two questions: What is the question it answers? Is it 888,888 or 8 infinity symbols that I placed incorrectly for the photo? ;) I invite your philosophical interpretations. Or, perhaps, you may have a mathematical interpretation...? :)
