Evil Masquerading Behind a Veil of Good
Good and evil are general descriptions or what is moral and immoral. For something evil to get something good to back it or help it, all that is required is for the evil to appear "good", to pretend it is "good", to veil itself in the illusion of being "good".

If someone can create the image of "good" or "order" by doing something evil, people will accept the evil as "good" or "ordered". Appearance easily deceive.
We have people who created a belief in the need for government as "good" and "ordered" no mater what it does, and people have accepted democide as a result. Excuses are abound for how to justify government. After all, it;s ;the lesser evil, or the devil you know.
The automatic position of moral causal agents or beings, is of neutrality, defaulted to non-evil, with positive active good and negative active evil being created additionally at will. Everyone assumes a default position of neutral, or good if there is no evidence to conclude evil action.
Evil will not be detected, until it is manifested into being by a causal agent that creates it.
The deception of evil looking innocent is especially effective when presenting the appearance of needing help, of being injured, then the good does want to help. A malicious person can pretend to be hurt to gain the trust of a decent person and use them for their own nefarious purposes.
Believing the sob story or sad story will engender empathy in the vulnerability of the situation they are in. Beliefs create trust, loyalty and faith in the belief or image of a victim. Vulnerability engenders trust. Trust engenders loyalty and faith. Appearances can deceive.
Evil can appear as a victim to gain your trust, to gain your good support and help evil in its ways without you knowing it. There is the image of an innocent victim, and therefore the image of good, by being at the very least a neutral innocent victim, not evil, hence good.

Evil actions can be veiled in the appearance of good all too easily. Appearances can fool us. Looking deeper to the substance of reality, rather than superficial appearances, is a wise methodology to apply towards everything in life. Discern truth from falsity, right from wrong, good from evil.

There is a lot of truth in the saying you can't cheat an honest man. I would simplify it more and say it is harder to be taken advantage of if one enters interactions without a merchant spirit. The minute we are open to a payoff for our involvement (which to be fair is not unreasonable within certain limits) we open ourselves to being taken.
Certainly you see this a lot with politicians who craft bills designed to cause great harm at large expense to the citizens and wrap it up in names designed to illicit sympathies, such as using kids, or fighting this bad thing or that.
Yeah, the desire for money is the root of many evils :/
@krnel, For sure in today's world we are watching it and that means, most of the centralised bodies do evil things in my opinion, but they justify that it's good.
And people can get manipulated very easily because, evil people use those methods which can influence anyone and as you said it going to reflect as victim.
So we have to be careful to understand the Truth because both truth and evil is visible it's just our observation and always slow down your perceptions to reach towards the right point.
And current phase is more tougher phase because there are many aspects which are trying to deceive people but we have to standby with the truth.

Well sometimes they hide what they do and we an't see, even if we;re looking ;) Deception works well to trick ppl into supporting evil :/

I often say look at the heart or the intentions behind the act. It may be a good act but for the wrong motives or wrong intent. It may end up being self-serving. Sometimes there are multiple layers of motives and one must know which are real and which are only for display purposes or window dressing. Thanks for sharing @krnel
