Just stumbled on a Wired article about steemit I thought I should share, and.. Some thoughts about the value of steemit/steem.
Looks like the steemit website is worth 87 million now? And according to this new article on WIRED I just stumbled upon accidentally...
The market capitalization of steem is around $294 million..
Seems like it'll be a bit hard to do a run on the bank so to speak and pull out enough to stop it's growth.
To me it seems like they gotta have some kind of major scandal..
Like someone needs to prove it's a scam or that they are stealing money or something..
Or else it's likely to grow and grow and grow until a competitor some day offers an even better platform. :)

There are rumors that have been swirling about this for sometime. Under the right light and circumstances, there could be a shady level to what's going on here, however they are minimal in regards to the larger picture.
Time will tell!
Interestingly enough, this is a brand new article, not one talking about Steemit from the earliest days... seems to me it's a pretty good sign that the more mainstream media is catching a whiff of what's going on here.
I wonder if they will ever give advertisements. That would stink. Hope they don't do that.
There are no competitors to the steemit till today. We will see its growth in near future soon.
