How to Remove a directory on desktop using Perl Language?

There are times when you want to get rid of some directory before you can run another program. And in such case you have to make use of the remove directory option in the perl language. You can make use of the rmdir option. Here you can see that you have to use this code and specify the expression, which stands for the directory which you need to get rid of. So your syntax may look something like this.

rmdir()

So the code for removing the directory in the perl would look liek this.

rmdir ("/tmp")

You can also set some sort of condition if the directory is not removed or some other error then you can call the die() method.

rmdir ("/tmp") || die  ("error in deleting directory: $?");

As you can see this can be simple code that you can try out in your perl program. Do let me know if it worked for you.
