A competition founded by @worldcapture. I'm loving this guy his work. @worldcapture I think I can participate again with your competition.

Rules

Rules are simple:

  • One entry per person per week
  • Only use your own work
  • Use the tag - #Peoplephotography
  • No nude photography
  • Separate post for your entry (not in the comment section)
  • Tag @worldcapture in your post

You see not the hardest rules to be part of the competition. This weeks post about the contest.

The picture for the contest

Not a people photographer, but wile walking around in the old town from Krakow together with @for91days, @goodwithtravels and @mrprofessor I noticed this lovely lady staring at her phone for a long time instead of enjoying the scenery at the castle. Couldn't resist 😇 Would love to hear what you think of this one?

She was texting me, didn't you notice me on the phone too? hihihih

LOL, I'm sure was! What did you text here? "Stand still, my buddy is trying to take a photo of you!"

Hahahahaah, basically something like 'if you let my friend take a picture I'll treat us for a nice dinner' \o\

O yeah, a new contest which you make me excited for. I'd love to see you sneaking up on people to get the photo you wanted. I'm sure it is hilarious and that we have lots of fun doing this together.
So my question is,.... When, where are we going? :D

Well I think I know something we should do again. People and lights lots of lights 😍

I love it. I love the way you capture her in action, her fingers hovering with the antipication, if the scene unravelled, that she'd be frantically tapping away, animated in this moment of virtual connection. And the background is blurred - because it's not as signficant for her, but the viewer is also drawn to the detail of the crowd, and then you've got the viewer, the voyeur, spying on all of this - does she know she's being observed?

does she know she's being observed?

Well @mrprofessor says she knows, but I think he didn't even noticed her because he was so impressed with all the European history for the second time while walking with us around the castle in Krakow 😉

I wish I could explain myself like you just did in your reply in English. I know it's your mother tongue, but while everyone is dreaming about Steemit going sky high. I'm still dreaming about getting better and better at explaining myself in English 😍 Thanks! 😍

You do perfectly well. It is only my analytical mind from studying literature that makes me talk like that sometimes lol. Gosh yeah I imagine as a European the history is great but something that you are quite used to full stop for a South American or an Australian we would have a jaw on the ground every time

Fantastic entry Buddy! Thanks a ton for the support and for participating!

Thanks @worldcapture! Wish my images where always like this... But most of the time they end up looking like a landscape without people... 🤔

Next time I got another beauty I'll join again, keep on going with the great contest!

Most welcome Buddy! I really loved the colors and contrast of your Image! Good Job!

I wonder if it has anything to do with where she grew up or lives, the fact that she was staring at her phone for so long. Maybe she's just so used to the architecture. Still I think it's a great picture and entry. I also love that she has a smile on her face like she's really enjoying the conversation shes having or whatever it is she's looking at.

I've seen some similar things though that I can't believe. I once took a picture of four or five people all staring at their phones while in the middle of the Sistine Chapel. Coudn't believe it! My jaw was on the floor looking at all the artwork and I turn over to see a row of people just looking at their phones. Unreal!

Thanks again for curating my Paris photo. I appreciate the support! Cheers!

No thanks at all for curating your Paris post, it was a great one. Like I commented it is great picture with a musician playing so concentrated in this beautiful city of love. Maybe it is something like the girl above, and is her instrument her phone (DJ'ing on the road or something.. 🤔). But that would be my excuse when I'm caught by my GF while opening Steemit on my phone 🤣 No serious can't believe those people looking at the images at Instagram from the building they're in at that moment. You still have that picture? Would love to see it.

I appreciate the kind comments! We're all glued to our phone these days but sometimes it's really not called for. Like at a dinner table (I'm super guilty of this) or while in places of magnificent beauty. Like this one:

I kid you not we're sitting in the Sistine Chapel. I couldn't look away from all the artwork. It's literally one of the best works of art ever created. I don't know what each of them was doing on their phone but I can't imagine it was any more interesting that what was directly above them.

Photography wasn't allowed but I snuck a photo or fifty. How can you not?
