Pay It Forward week 4! My 3 blogger picks this week!

source: @thedarkhorse's contest announcement. All other photos below are from each of the bloggers mentioned.

My procrastinator self forgot about writing this up until nearly the deadline for @thedarkhorse's weekly Pay It Forward contest...well, better at the last hour than never! As with last week, the requirements are to feature 3 bloggers who have a reputation score of 50 or below. Here are the 3 that caught my attention for the contest this week!

@buckaroo

She may be a bit camera shy, as I couldn't find a photo showing her face ;) but @buckaroo, homesteading in South Africa, really caught my interest with her recent post "BEE Your Own Kind of Bee-utiful" talking about bees and the encouragement we can get from watching them and considering what they do for the earth.

If you think you are overworked and underpaid take a look at the little honey bee. She spends all the sunlit hours flying from flower to flower, covering miles in one day. And at the end of her short life the worker bee has only made about half a teaspoon of honey. That's the sum total of her entire life's work! Perhaps that fact alone will give you pause the next time you scoop honey into your tea or over your toast.

@buckaroo is genuine and engaging, sticks to the point (unlike my rambling self) and has interesting photos to share and stories to tell about life in Africa. She joined Steemit only last month, and I believe she is on her way to doing well here!

@fiberartists

Another camera-shy one, but don't let that fool you!

A curation account that I believe deserves a mention, due to their effort to draw a community together! In their introductory post, @fiberartists very aptly observed,

Fiber artists crave new ideas and techniques. And sometimes, just a pat on the back when we are frustrated. We are natural teachers and students so the idea of having other like minded people just a click away is exciting. Honestly, I think Steem is the perfect platform to accomplish this goal. Is it just me, or does Steem seem to be based on the concept of Karma?

All of that is so true! I have really cherished "meeting" fellow needleworkers on Steemit thanks to @crosheille's awesome #needleworkmonday initiative plus @fiberartists' efforts to further build the community by hooking everybody up with each other via a one-stop shop for relevant posts. Here is the latest posting of the weekly Fiber Ramble that they compile of the most recent needlework/fiber arts-related posts on Steemit. It truly is a useful tool for seeing posts by fellow needleworkers that I might have otherwise missed! @fiberartists also has a Fiber Ramble channel on Discord and hosts a daily Creatives' Coffee Hour there.

@wondermaey

@wondermaey is in Nigeria and joined Steemit in January. She is quite the accomplished clothing designer and seamstress! I have come to look forward to her posts each #needleworkmonday on the clothes she has sewn, often showcasing unique prints I don't see around here! Sewing clothing is not my strength, so I really admire someone who can create and alter their own off the top of their head. This week she decided to try out making patterns and wrote this post about it. Also, in a different, Steemgigs post this week, I like what she has to say here:

Nothing motivates us more than what is dear to the heart, mind and soul. This is the success story of Steemians. They work hard to earn the success that they so desire. These kind of people are also my motivators. Seeing how painstaking and flawless some post of Steemit leaves me marvelled and challenges me to be an even better me. Reading about someone else on Steemit who is also passionate about my kind of art and watching the way he or she goes about it motivates me to keep my head up and continue no matter the obstacles.

^^^Those are good words for all us, regardless of what we're busy plugging away at doing with our lives!

Thanks again to @thedarkhorse for sponsoring this great curation contest! It's definitely a materialization of the "Karma" mentioned by @fiberartists!

Well you certainly deserve that mention!! You're truly the tireless community organizer connecting us all together! I don't have that gift so I really appreciate those who do❤️

I really appreciate that. Thank you~ ❤️ I really enjoy doing it!!! ☺️

Thank you @mtnmomma! Yip definitely camera shy. Although if you were posing with 2 wild rhino behind you, I think you'd also rather keep watching them ;)

That makes absolute perfect sense!😆

Oh yes! I love how it's an opportunity for those of us with less influence to do some curating, and give others a boost!

MEEP! MEEP!

"Hello! I'm @shadow3scalpel and with the help of my protege, @chairborne, we are actively assisting veterans, retirees and active servicemen and women here on Steemit. We feel it is our 'duty' to support each other. Any questions or comments you may have, simply respond to this comment, thank you!"
