Partiko product update to support SteemFest3
Hello Partiko lovers,
We are making a change to the Partiko product, and we would like to communicate the change clearly and get your feedback.
In our previous post Partiko Weekly Report #3, we announced our official sponsorship for the SteemFest3 conference. We're really excited about this opportunity and we're super excited about the conference. As mentioned in the post, Partiko is going to help SteemFest3 sell more tickets to fund the operation and raise more awareness, and we're making a small change to the Partiko product to support that.
In the next few hours, you will begin to see the below post (from @roelandp, Steem witness and organizer of SteemFest3) about SteemFest3 on the top of your Partiko trending page. We are adding a "promoted" tag in Partiko Android to help you differentiate, and the "promoted" tag for Partiko iOS will be added in the next release.
Although we truly believe that SteemFest3 is a very meaningful event, and the entire Steem community should be very excited about this, we still value your opinion a lot and are trying our best to communicate this change. This is the coolest thing about a decentralized community: people own their content and asset, therefore the power is always in the people, not in Partiko or any centralized party.
We will add the option to permanently hide the promoted posts in the next release, please stay tuned for that.

Seems like a good idea to support initiatives like steemfest but I agree with the comments below - I want boosted post to be kept out of my feed in general.

If I'm reading this correctly this is simply an off chain agreement for partiko to show steem fest posts with priority. I do wonder if there will be something partiko can do to synergize with posts promoted to the steem blockchain though. Of course, none of those help partiko in any way so I guess it would be interesting to see if there might be some benefit to doing so.
I'm not holding my breath about improving trending feeds because any adjustment partiko makes won't adjust behaviors until they are the majority UI, or at least responsible for a large amount of viewers.

Yes, even steemit allows full pornography then why partiko people have problems?? And if it is so, then why they are watching my updates? Did i force them to do so???

Thank you! We are going to integrate support for nsfw posts and hide them by default in Partiko. Hopefully that will make sure everyone is happy. Once we have done that we should be able to turn it back on for you. We will keep you updated on that!

@partiko, if by "promoted", you mean posts that have paid for their votes, then yes, I think separating out the organically upvoted posts from the inorganic is vital for content discovery to work as it should
