Keto Revolution

I have had heard of Ketogenic Diet for quite some time. It was first introduced to me by my mom when we talked about nutrition for a cancer patient, and how this form of low-carb hi-fat diet was speculated can actually starve the cancer cell by inducing the body into ketosis and preventing the cancer cells from feeding in glucose which comes mostly from carbs. My mom was a retired nurse and she was well exposed to all things medical. Plus, both my uncle and grandfather had died of cancer which had made her even more health conscious. So I believed her and decided to look into it further to see what it was all about.

It was already in a second episode of the interview, the first one had caught my attention so far. They talked about how this revolution will bust the myth or change the present view on food pyramids, and shows the series of findings that proven the ever-popular belief that we should steer clear from fat because it was bad for our health, was wrong after all! On a contrary, they claim that we should not eliminate fat, in fact, we should incorporate more healthy fats on our diets. Watch and follow their series of interviews.

I have been wanting to try on this diet method for quite some time and thought, what better way to start it by steem my journey all the way through. So like any diet or alteration to our body, first thing first we need to do yourself a checkup. I had just done my blood test and will get the result by next Tuesday, till then I still am not sure where does my health stands but pretty sure it is not good. You will know when something was not right in your body and you need to do something about it.
