SHOULD I POST MORE ON STEEM?

in #palnet6 years ago

My posting routine has changed over time. It has always been in a constant influx. There where times I would post twice a day, in the morning and evening. It wasn't a hassle for me because I have always had the time and content but out of respect for the reward pool, I decided 1 post per day, 4-5 times in a week was ideal. I would have resting days enough for me to fulfill recharge and come up with new ideas and avoid occurrences of redundancy where I am basically regurgitating the same thing.

There was a time I didn't need to post every day and I could still earn a lot of steem. The good old days of dapps. I could post a video on dtube, create a short post on steemit, answer a few questions on musing (which was much more rewarding), play steemmonster or magic dice (which turned out to be a scam of some sort). There was just so much to do. Now it's a different case. The number of dapps has shrunk over time and now it's basically platforms like dtube and 3speak that have been holding up my interest on steem as they offer the most rewards. I don't know if I would still be enthusiastic about steem if they left.

Now, speaking about creating more content. I have always believed in the law of marginal utility/productivity. Utility or the satisfaction you gain from creating more content reduces with the addition of more content. I don't necessarily think to create content every day is good for your creativity but then again not everyone is a creative artist. For those who want to share their ideas or thoughts, I think it's quite easy for such persons to produce a large number of content consistently but one has to respect the reward pool, right?

At this point I need to make more money as I am planning to start a new business by July, so every dollar/steem I can make at this point will come in handy. Two posts per day don't seem like a bad idea. I post more videos on steem, I can as well increase the number of written posts I make and fancy my chances.

The major drawback of this soullessness of this routine.

How many people value the information you're
putting out?

Aredodon't you just milking steem?

I have to answer those questions every day. Some days I care, other days I don't mind. In the last five months, I haven't taken out up to $1000 worth of steem. And part of what I have taken out is my fiat investments as well. I'm looking forward to a day when I can give more than I take from steem. Regardless of its many flaws steem has given me a lot and still keeps giving. So I am grateful for that.

So what's your own story, how many times to do a post per day/week on steem? Do you think it is enough? Or do you want to increase the volume of work you put out here? And do you even care if people appreciate it or not? What's your story

Yes, everyone should post a bit more. We need the activity. Not just totally meaningless posts, but engaging interesting short posts are fine too.

Okay, meaningless and short it is...🤭

My posting stats has dropped too...I was more comfortable posting multiple times a day before I started taking my content out of steemit, now it seems i've grown my audience and I dont want to chase them away by not dropping a bomb post, cuz bomb post dont come all the time. I'm trying to keep to once a day now, I'd try two...

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 2 SBD worth and should receive 136 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.
