Much of their days go by in feeding activities, but their teeth grow throughout their lives. Zebras have to face their natural predators, which are the big cats living in their distribution zones. However, their populations have been reduced as a result of hunting to obtain their skin and meat and the loss and fragmentation of their natural habitat by urbanization and agricultural practices. This situation is especially serious for the northern populations.
