I was lucky to get a chance to talk to Matt and Dylan, founders of @oracle-d.
There are many reasons I am very excited about this project but the very biggest reason is the fact they are doing something that (to my knowledge) no one else is doing.
Rather than just creating a community and recirculating steem power within that community, they are leveraging talented content creators to create a value to interests OUTSIDE of the Steem ecosystem.
This is a project I feel everyone with vested interest in the success (and price) of Steem should get behind.
0:54 Dylan introduction to Oracle-D
Notable Quote: "There's so much talent on the Steem Blockchain... wouldn't it be useful for clients out in the real world to make use of those talents, and actually pay for them? So, effectively what we're encouraging people to do is to buy and hold large pots of Steem and use that Steem to reward people for doing valuable work on behalf of their projects, their companies, whatever it may be.
By doing that we create a demand for the Steem token, and for as long as there is a demand for the Steem token the price will rise and the platform will effectively be sustainable."
6:22 Matt speaks about bringing in investment INTO the blockchain.
Notable quote: "At the moment, there's not many people, I don't know of anyone that is absolute bringing in investment into the Steem blockchain (yet). I know there will be many projects, Dylan and I have belief that this is going to go like wildfire. Once people realize that Steem can be used as a return to investors, can be used as a service for people at a cost and pay those people in Steem, there is a whole world of talent on the Steem blockchain that can be leveraged this way, and once people start using it in that way there will be a lot of profits to be made, lots of value to add. And we hope, as we said before on the Steem blockchain, as you start doing something in a certain way that is a bit different from the way everyone else does it, you'll notice other people start copying it, other people start doing it. So we are trying to set an example and hopefully inspire others to take this model and start doing it themselves.
And, in fact, when we release the version 2 of our platform in about 3 months time, we intend to allow anyone to bring their publishing outfit onto the Oracle-D platform, bring their own writers, bring their own clients, bring their own investments and execute the worlk on the Oracle-D platform so it's not just Dylan I that have the ability to do that, it's everyone that could do that and hopefully that will spur more investment into the Steem blockchain.
8:30 I ask "what kinds of things you are offering that is getting clients excited?"
Dylan mentions positive PR for a individual athlete.
Noteable quote from Dylan "A lot of the business we are doing is in the blockchain-sphere as well ... they understand crypto already so it is not a hard-sell..."
"We are effectively providing a 'gig-economy' to our content creators who we hand pick"
16:08 Dylan talks about the concept of "Pre-Marketing"
17:45 I ask Matt what he is most excited about moving forward.
- Second Version of Oracle-D
- Going to Indonesia
- Radio and TV appearance
- Excited about the potential business from that area.
- Speaking in Athens
21:20 I ask about if he can speak about the clients he is working with.
24:25 Matt announces delegation from Steemit Inc.
The rest is just a casual conversation with lots of great information. I could write a book of the transcript of this but dig in and check it out!
