¡Saludos Steemeros! Para mi entrada del Steemit OpenMic Semana 101 he preparado un arreglo del tema "Duerme Negrito"; una canción de cuna que forma parte del folklore latinoamericano.

Atahualpa Yupanqui es quien presenta esta canción por primera vez en los medios, por ello muchos le atribuirían la autoría de la misma, pero bien aclaró Yupanqui:

"Mucha gente me la adjudica. Honor hubiera sido para mí que fuera mía, pero no lo es. Es mía en cuanto a lo que tenga de sensibilidad mi corazón de cosas receptivas. Es un tema anónimo, plural, folclórico. Es de ellos: de la gente morena de esa zona, frontera Venezuela-Colombia"

"Duerme Negrito" No es sólo una canción de cuna, es también una canción de protesta, donde se visibiliza las carencias y la explotación de los afro-descendientes, del proletariado... La letra de la canción nos narra que "El Negrito" era cuidado por alguien que le decía:

"Te va a traer codornices para ti,
Te va a traer rica fruta para ti,
Te va a traer carne de cerdo para ti,
Te va a traer muchas cosas para ti"

Estas eran cosas con la que los jornaleros del cacao de aquél entonces y los pobres de ahora, sueñan... Esas palabras eran calma y consuelo para la mente de aquél negrito chiquitico, que quizás no podía dormir pensando en su madre, a la que tanto quería pero poco veía... O tal vez no podía conciliar el sueño por el hambre que sentía su cuerpo y su alma... En todo caso el arrullo intentaba calmar lo que la humanidad con sus iniquidades y contradicciones despertaba en aquel niño de ayer pero también de hoy...

Hablar de "Duerme Negrito" es, entre otras cosas, recordar a Mercedes Sosa, que nos regaló una de las versiones más hermosas que se haya hecho de este tema. Aquí les dejo un enlace para que disfruten del arte y la magia de la eterna Mercedes Sosa

Atahualpa Yupanqui is the one who presents this song for the first time in the media, so many would attribute the authorship of it, but Yupanqui clarified:
