Steemit Open Mic 109- (Original) True Reality
Hey Open Mic!
This week I decided to revamp an older original of mine I wrote back in 2014. I added some guitar solos, percussive guitar, and a vocal harmony on the chorus. I also added an extended outro complete with a guitar harmony exit.
Sorry the video part was blurry. My lens must've been a bit foggy, but I just like this take audio wise, that a do over was out of the question.

started life with all the hope in my heart
a foolish lie that my soul one day would depart
in living hell that a false divinity betrayed
was nothing more than the lies of society
so take my hand now and listen to the words I say
the only god is the one I used to betray
behind the mask and reflected back at me
from the mirror of true reality
now I feel the strength inside of me
with all the weakness of human frailty
for I now stand upon my own two feet
as god of my universe no one grovels at my feet
