Steemit Open Mic Week 102: Original Music — Time to Fade
Songs are distilled slices of the human experience. Moments in time. This isn’t how I always feel, just a passing uncertainty I’m a little too familiar with.
I turn to writing and music to keep energy and emotion moving, so it doesn’t get stuck. I have all kinds of thoughts and feelings, some of which are pretty awful. Pretty sure that’s normal for any human.
Words help. I find I can step back from the intensity of life if I have a way to process it. Music is literal vibration. Singing gives voice to words I would otherwise hold back.
This is a sad, lonely song, but those emotions are part of being human. So here they are, captured in a tune.

This song has some tough love in it, some bittersweet reality checks. Maybe some pessimism? I’m generally an optimist, but sometimes I get down.
Tried to keep the music upbeat, at least, so the thing as a whole isn’t too depressing. I actually really like the guitar part. Gets in my head. ;)

Wonderful voice wonderful song and totally feeling this fading thing hehe, it comes and goes.
