Mientras avanza el tiempo, vamos atribuyendo a la música un significado profundo e íntimo, el cual, apegado a significados y símbolos, se almacena en nuestro interior conforme disfrutamos y vivimos. Quizás por este hecho, la música despierta tantas interpretaciones como oyentes hayan: cada quien le atribuye el valor más cercano a su realidad subjetiva.

As time progresses, we attribute to music a deep and intimate meaning, which, attached to meanings and symbols, is stored inside us as we enjoy and live. Perhaps because of this fact music awakens as many interpretations as there are listeners: each one attributes the value closest to its subjective reality.

En mi caso, la música siempre ha representado recuerdos: imágenes que como flechas se clavan en mi mente y me transportan al pasado, al baúl de historias y sensaciones dormidas; al mundo de colores y estímulos, personas y vidas, sueños y anhelos.

In my case, music has always represented memories: images that like arrows stick in my mind and transport me to the past, to the trunk of sleeping stories and sensations; to the world of colors and stimuli, people and lives, dreams and longings.

El día de hoy les comparto Óleo de una mujer con sombrero de Silvio Rodríguez , mi primera participación en el Open Mic. Esta canción tiene una carga muy emotiva tanto para su compositor como para mi persona. Es una trova que, en mi forma de pensar y sentir, habla del anhelo y el olvido, del recuerdo y la soledad: en suma, habla del amor envuelto en las mantas de la despedida.

Today I share Óleo de una mujer con sombrero de Silvio Rodriguez , hat, my first participation in the Open Mic. This song has a very emotional charge for both its composer and me. It is a trova that, in my way of thinking and feeling, speaks of longing and forgetting, of memory and solitude: in short, it speaks of the love wrapped in the blankets of the farewell.

Una despedida compuesta por dos partes, pues no es solo la partida lo que se va asomando a lo largo de la canción, sino la reconstrucción de un pasado que toca lo más hondo del recuerdo como única forma de evocar la existencia del amor ausente: el amor que muere entre lágrimas y el olvido de un clavel blanco.

A farewell composed of two parts, it is not only the game that is emerging throughout the song, but the reconstruction of a past that touches the deepest of memory as the only way to evoke the existence of absent love: the love that dies between tears and the oblivion of a white carnation.
