Every day the number of COVID infected people is raising, not only here in Bangladesh but in many countries too. But the bad news is we are going against the 'lockdown rule'!

I can understand why the government has to take the decision. We can't afford to 'freeze the economy'. There are millions of people who live in 'daily income'. There's no need to tell how they are suffering during this lockdown. From government to commoners, from non-government organizations to different individuals; everyone is trying to help/donate to make the situation better.

But my current concern is not about that. As the government decided to open up malls, restaurants for takeaway and garments + large scale factories so the economy will get back the past move in a short period of time. But what's concerning us most is the 'current messed up situation!'

The number of people is in the street will not make you feel we are in lockdown. As different private organization is also opening up so we have to go outside gradually for living & earning. It's not like that the number of infected is going low so we took the decision or stated to live a normal life. Rather, we are taking the decision to live a normal life in a very bad situation.

People are thinking a 'single mask' will save them. Everyone is wearing a mask and roaming around the city for living or just to have a walk & gossip. It's not just that people are less concerned about COVID but it's more like they take it for granted that they will not get affected. God will save them/nothing to worry. Many of us never trying to understand if one mask can save us then there will be no need for 'Social distancing'.

I'm seeing a lot more people on the street from my balcony who are just having fun, gossiping on the street. Yeah, they are waring 'Mask' but can the mask save them? I wonder how they can't know how this virus spread? They actually know but they don't care. And this careless mindset, this ignorance will make us face a huge mess in upcoming days.

It's true that the number of 'death' is low in my country for several reasons. Many who died couldn't even get the chance to test themselves. So, why we are taking this granted, I can't understand!

Is not it the high time to be more concerned, more aware to save us from COVID? People who have to go out for living have a valid reason but for us is not it is more important to stay home? Maybe the shooting malls are open, maybe the restaurants are delivering food but the decision is ours what we want to face!

It may sound I'm too worried. Yeah, I'm. And I have all the valid reasons to worry. If this worry can make us more concerned and aware then worry is good.
