Probable leak at Russian nuclear facility
A Russian nuclear facility is adjacent to intense atmospheric concentrations of isotope ruthenium-106 as meteorological services have found levels several hundred times normal during September tests. Greenpeace has requested an investigation of potential cover-up. Radio isotope levels have been found at 986 times the norm. The adjacent facility is involved with reprocessing spent nuclear fuel. These findings come at a time when the world is on the border of ramping up once again the production of nuclear weapons.
The question of nuclear power is a topic that will never end. Ironically it is considered to be a great way of providing energy IF incidents and leaking aren't happen.
Some analysts even believe that this is a good alternative for some of the other energy sources that we are having now.
Unfortunately there are way too many old power plants out there to make this source of energy reliable.
