[CO] Hands - Pencil Drawing
Hi steemians sharing with you a recent drawing I did of hands. I used a variety of pencils such as 6B, 3B, HB and 4H however, I did not need the soft pencils so much as the tones were quite light in this piece. I used a paintbrush to smooth out the tones and then went over in pencil for the finer details.
I like the story behind this piece, it is up to the viewer to interpret the meaning behind it. I wanted to create quite a calm, peaceful atmosphere in this piece.

Beautiful drawing of hands.
I hate drawing hands. I can never seem to get them quite right. I had the worst time with my mother’s hand on the portrait I recently posted. My dad was pleased with the overall finished drawing. But, to me, that hand still looks almost monkey-paw like.
Thanks, I think the hand looks fine but yes hands can be very annoying to get right! :)
You’re welcome. And, thanks about my mom’s hand. I wish I felt the same. Except for the hand, I feel the portrait is one of my best ever.
