ntopaz-image-0ntopaz-image-1ntopaz-image-2ntopaz-image-3ntopaz-image-4ntopaz-image-5ntopaz-image-6Hello to everyone who loves art!🤗😀

Today I want to share with you my work. I have repeatedly said that I work in the Art center as a teacher of drawing.
I teach and have small children, and have teenagers. In our art center there are hobby classes and professional classes. In the hobby class, students draw for themselves, on any topic, from fantastic animals to anime. In the professional class, students prepare for admission to the Academy of arts, they collect their portfolio.😏

Today I want to show you a still life that I'm proud of. It is painted in watercolor. I don't know why, but I love watercolor still lifes. They are very beautiful, transparent.
What kind of still lifes do you like?🤔

PROCESS🎨

1.My student Dasha made a light sketch.
To begin with, we noted where all the elements of our still life will be. Then we drew light lines contours in compliance with the forms and proportions. At this stage, the main task – the correct filling of the sheet. In order not to be mistaken with the determination of the size of the composition of the still life, use the visual method of measurement with a simple pencil. The proportions are refined by means of auxiliary lines.
Need ordinary and gentle, almost imperceptible lines. All unnecessary lines immediately erase the eraser.

2.When the sketch was ready, Dasha began to work with watercolors. I always advise you to start with the background. You'll feel better. To begin with, we made a light, transparent first layer. Then Dasha began to do a more detailed drawing of our drapery.

3.Dasha made the first layer of watercolor for each of the elements of the still life. We let the watercolors dry. After that, my student began to draw in more detail all the shadows, highlights, patterns.

4.When all was traced, Dasha waited and gave the work to dry well. Only then did we look and add the missing shades, shadows and details.

❗❕❗NEVER BE AFRAID TO CHECK AND REVISE EVERYTHING. LOOK AT ALL THE DETAILS, HIGHLIGHTS, COLORS THAT FALL FROM OTHER OBJECTS.❗❕❗

What can you say about Dasha's work?
If you have questions about still lifes and watercolors, you can ask them. I'm always happy to answer everything!😉😎

Sort:

Really beautiful every line demarcated in the work, what mark are your watercolors? I point with school quality watercolors but sometimes I don't like them after it dries.

Thanks for sharing.

Honestly? This firm is one of the cheapest. The firm is called "Ray". This is one of the most affordable and quality watercolors in Ukraine.
They look like this, but may be smaller sets.

Thank you for giving your student the credit. I like that you show off their work as well as yours. It's all in learning. I am so glad to see I am not the only one who uses the back of a chair for an easel 😊

Interesting to do a still life with watercolors, to me it's like mixing oil with water. You can still create beauty.
