I think this is not difficult in the case when the one who is looking at you is not from the cat family.
The cold stare of cats is hard to understand.
But, I have one hunch. I know the situation during which this photograph was taken.
Reproached, I think it was reproached for diverting the cat’s attention during her hunt.
I took this photograph from the balcony of the fifth floor of the house in which I lived.
Not far from the house there is a heating main, where, most likely, mice and rats lived. The cat hunted them.
I quietly called the cat. I did not expect him to hear me. But. an extraneous sound distracted the cat's attention.
Hearing turned into eyesight.
