Erotica w/ Egan in Atlantic City!

in #nsfw6 years ago

Hey, Steemit! @vermillionfox brought me sushi, and earlier today I got to see @moony and beat @tarotbyfergus in several games of Magic: The Gathering […I stole his Nicol Bolas planeswalker]. My point is, I’m in a good mood. A perfect time to make a post.

Quickly, regarding Trial by Comics, the deadline for “Lord of the Rings” is in less than an hour. As always, I just amazed by the volume and quality of the participation. @timcliff recently quoted @ned from Steemfest, “…the reason Steemit is going to succeed is because of you.”, and I too, will echo those sentiments. This comics challenge was something I started as an excuse to draw my interests, and it’s taken on a life of it’s own because of the tidal wave of talent that enters each week.

I’m going to be a day or two behind on announcing the winner for “Lord of the Rings”, so don’t anyone panic. I’ve been working marathon days on “Dark Pinup” with @wcpublishing, so I’m still drawing up next week’s theme. Also, I have some awesome ideas for the next phase of Trial by Comics; the evolution of the trials, so to speak. I’m going to get @bryan-imhoff on the phone and work out the specifics. More on that soon.

Lastly, for those that may have been wondering, Trial by Comics is going to start taking on a comics role, meaning sequential art. That was the plan from the beginning. I wanted to roll for a few months with genre themes, like LOTR’s, Kaiju, and Mecha, but in the comic weeks you’ll see industry technique challenges begin, such as inking, penciling, storyboarding, paneling, lettering, writing and coloring challenges. By the time Trial by Comics is celebrating it’s anniversary, I’d like to see complete pages being entered.

Alright, enough comics talk. I’ve got some photography to share tonight. This isn’t going to be my usual novella with involved stories of how a shoot came to be. Tonight’s photography is with a model named Egan. She found me on Instagram, as is usually the way, and contacted me about shooting. TF shoots are rare at this point in my career, but it turned out I had the freedom to book a model for a sexy shoot in a Minneapolis erotica publication. I’d still be getting paid, and I decided Egan would be a great fit for the project, assuming she wanted to shoot nudes.

She did, and plans were put in to motion. Egan met me in Atlantic City during one of the many tours I’d done that year throughout the east coast. A close friend allowed me to shoot in their beachfront condo and so began a late night of creating erotica throughout all three stories of the glass and steel home. I had a chance to play with angels and lines. Even shapes like the transparent circle of a washing machine, while still managing to make a genuinely arousing image.

Egan knew her body and posed gracefully as we moved from room to room. We managed to shoot everything in just under two hours, then recorded a 15 minute interview on the dark balcony that would eventually be transcribed for the pages of the magazine feature. I promptly put my camera battery on the charger, dumped the photos to my travel HD, and collapsed in bed. I haven’t looked at these images since they appeared in the magazine, so this was a treat to rediscover and share on Steemit.

Thanks for reading. I post daily. For more photography, art, illustration and the stories behind the work, follow me here @kommienezuspadt!

This is absolutely my favorite shot of the bunch, and possibly one of my favorite photos of yours ever! The pose and the look are very alluring. The strong black ring of the washer door produces a distinct frame that evokes images of the lens ring or a monocle eye glass, with wonderful connotations of seeing or watching. The glass forms a barrier that heightens the erotic tension with a "you can look but you cannot touch" implication. Overall this is a brilliantly executed erotic photograph!

BTW, was it a conscious choice to make shooting through glass a consistent thread through your work or is it just something you were unconsciously drawn to?

Looking forward to seeing you guys in MPLS this week!

Cheers,
@kellyjanderson

would you share the video of interview ..? and these are great pictures ...

Nic work friend thanks

great post

I am flattered you want my input considering my lack of participation recently! But certainly feel free to hit me up anytime. Whatever the next theme is, I promise I will tackle it with ferocity and put forth my best entry ever...
Reading about your book coming together has been wonderful. * insert obligatory Futurama “Take my money!” meme here *
Next up, your first graphic novel...

only 1 word. WOW

I'm excited to see where the trialbycomics challenge will go.. though I worry that when it turns into actual comic pages I might not be able to enter anymore. I suck at drawing comics :D A cover would work much better for me ;))

The pictures look great again that way you light your subjects and enviro's is so recognizable it gives it such a classical look.. really like it!
Looking forward to the book, hope you will offer it for steem? ;)

cheers!

Artistic pixture, found a sense of vintage feel in your photo, maybe it was the filter?

I have some doubts about the #TrialbyComics but I look forward to seeing what will be the contest.
