Dreams of a better nsfw
I like nsfw stuff. I really do.
The modern workplace is such a hive of censorship that in my mind nsfw means real life. I know this is somewhat warped, but I think it's warped in the more useable sense. No, right now I can't explain that better, I've been drinking. Maybe later, but probably not.
The current nsfw tag is inundated with straight up porn. I don't have an issue with porn being on the Steem blockchain. Far from it, I like that Steem platform so censorship free that it's here. I would like a bit of distinction between hardcore fuckfest gifs and the artful photos of @nspart. Or the very contoversial words of say, @redpill, or @rebelskum.
There are a lot of solutions to this. Self moderation, a new tag series nsfw-fucking for instance, or maybe just not reposting stolen gifs since I'm pretty sure that's where most of them come from.
Am I alone in this? I Love most of @nspart's photosets, but I'm bored by the hardcore stuff.

Edit: recently two others have chimed in on this subject. @o0pepper0o has her post on how she's making nsfw better and @sean-king will be downvoting the plethora of stolen nsfw trash posts.
just made a post about this...but more along the lines of issues with copyright infringement and people making $ off not their nsfw content that doesn't actually belong to them. Since this post inspired my post..upvote =D

Sorry it took me so long to read it. I literally have 76 tabs of articles open on my phone which is a 'to read' list. My laptop browser is an atrocious mess of tabs too, different tabs.

better tag handling, #snfw -#porn should help. Then ask those posting porn to use #porn.
BTW everything on pornhub and the like is stolen.

I like the idea of #snfw and #porn. A lot easier to keep track of than the dash tags.
I could not agree more. Especially since people are just taking the same gifs they have been recycling on other sites and just mashing them up to be on here.
The only thing I hate about the NSFW tag right now it's there is almost NO original content at all. I'm not saying go out and film yourself fucking for the sake of a steemit post, but at the same time, I think it's kind of shitty to repost random pictures and gifs you found online without permission.
That being said, I would like a NSFW tag for less hardcore things (art, pin ups, etc) that don't fit into the straight-up-porn category.
Right now I think you can only add additional tags and hope that someone writes a site that allows a multi tag search.
For the milder stuff we could also make a new tag #gnfw (Generally Not For Work)

One of the cohosts on the podcast I'm on is an independent sex worker and makes her living legally on the internet. People not stealing her content and posting it on free sites is what keeps food on her table. The idea that someone else could post it on Steemit and make money off of her performances while she is uncompensated for it is disgusting.
The only adult web worker i know is anna cherry. I know her from a different podcast and still have no idea what she looks like.

There's actually a link to it on my blog, and it's a bonafide audio-only podcast. It's about Magic: the Gathering. Katt hasn't joined us recently (her fiancé is on every week, though) as she's typically busy managing her career that actually pays the bills. The more her content is pirated, the more she has to work. Wish more people had respect for that.
