TIFO--Norse Names
In Norway two of the most popular names for boys are Odd and Even. This has nothing to do with math. Odd comes from the Old Norse word, oddr. Which means sharp end of an object or edge of a blade. Even is from the Norse, eivindr. That itself comes from the Norse, auja and windur. Which means gift or winner.
