    You have a good point. Most sports fans are very dedicated and don't care about the politics.
    To me this just another distraction to create controversy and distraction.

    They can still bet on the games without watching. I really think think the ratings and game attendance will go down. Ratings are already down and over 10,000 NFL Ticket subscribers have canceled their subscription and it may be even more by now. A big majority of Americans are disgusted by the NFL now. And what about all the soldiers overseas who watch the games? I bet most of them will boycott too.
