RE: Saudi Arabia Planned To Build A 590-Mile long Canal Through Yemen Just Before Invading Yemen

Saudi Arabia is said to hold 34% of the world's oil, but it has no direct access to the sea to transport the oil

Lol where on this map does KSA have direct access to the sea? It shows direct access to two straits. According to your logic KSA could deliver oil to African countries and thats about it. It is a proven fact that the only way for KSA to get to the open sea for maritime traffic. KSA has to pass oil through the Bab-el-Mandeb strait and the Strait of Hormuz to get to the open sea. You can't trade much in the red sea or the Persian Gulf. I understand your comment but please do some research, if KSA had direct access to the sea, the strait of hormuz would not be that important yet 17 million barrels of oil pass through it a day, if KSA had direct access to the sea than why do they use the Strait of Hormuz so much? Please just research a bit about oil maritime traffic, or better yet find a map of how KSA exports their oil.

I usually don't get into to the weeds on comments, but I feel it is justified here. Mr. Vector you comment added zero to the discussion and i don't believe you even read this article or clicked the links I provided because if you did, you would know the answer to your own question and the map you provided also answers your question for you. I think the Suez Canal answers your question for you. I think the war in Yemen answers your question for you.
