Samsung hat das Galaxy Fold überarbeitet, aber auch die aktualisierte Version ist extrem fragil und nicht alltagstauglich wie dieses Smartphone-Torture-Video zeigt. Wenn ich daran denke, wie oft mir mein neues S8 ohne Hülle schon runtergefallen ist, würde das Fold vielleicht nicht einmal eine Woche überleben.

Samsung has reworked the Galaxy Fold, but even the updated version 2 is extremely fragile and not suitable for everyday use as this smartphone torture video shows. When I think about how many times I dropped my new S8 without a cover, the Fold might not even survive a week.

Die Hersteller wissen schon was sie tun und haben unmengen an Gelder ausgegebn um zu wissen was wir wollen. Grins

Die Hersteller scheinen sich etwas davon zu versprechen. Mir selber kommt es mit zunehmendem Alter auch so vor, als könnte das Display gar nicht groß genug sein. Vielleicht hat sowas Zukunft.

That video was actually super interesting. I found it hard to peel my eyes away from it. The phone looks cool, but man, if he can scratch/damage the inner screen with his fingernail then that does not seem practical at all. Phones are typically for everyday use. No one is going to put on a white pair of gloves to send a text or play a game or just mess around on their phone. It's cool but I would never buy one. It's just not practical.

Maybe foldable displays are more practical for tablets or laptops, that dont fall to the ground that often like smartphones. I need a durable smartphone that does not scratch too easily 😂

10 Jahre Garantie? Das wäre cool, mir würde reichen, wenn Smartphones reparierbar sein müssen. Also Akku tauschen und so.
Alle Produkte sollten leicht reparierbar sein. Und so ne tricksereien wie beim iPhone gehören verboten( 500 Ladungen und dann akku im arsch)
Recycling muss Pflicht werden

Solange der Akku nicht in Flammen aufgeht, sowie beim 7 + ... ist der Schaden ja eher "kollateral" ... ;)
Bestimmt ganz gut, aber es muss definitiv billiger werden.

Finde die Idee persönlich ja echt cool und bin mal gespannt, wohin sich das entwickelt. Allerdings gebe dir recht so, wie empfindlich das aktuell ist, würde es auch bei mir keine Woche überleben.
