He said in the video it's not unusual for FISA courts to rubber stamp something, what was wrong in this instance was the many times against a candidate should have raised eyebrows, like he said it was questionable how the administration was using the process to help one particular side of the campaign, that should have been concerning.
what's wrong is that we have secret courts at all. They can only be abused and misused. I heard someone make an interesting comment that any time the government is doing anything in secret that's the definition of a conspiracy.
I wasn't agreeing it was right just stating what the article said. I am sure there's reason to keep some things under wraps getting warrants but I don't know what kind of oversight it would take to make sure there's no abuse.
Back then technology wasn't what it is today, it's the super information highway, information can be accessed and/or passed in a matter of seconds, to me that seems like some things are going to have a daunting need to stay closely guarded and hidden....how to keep it from being abused is the big issue.
They claim it was to fight spies but we have been fighting spies effectively for hundreds of years and of course Donald Trump is not a spy, he was an opposition candidate.
I agree, totally. What they did was terribly wrong, what they are continuing to do it terribly wrong. My hope is that Americans turn out in droves to support republicans in Nov., maybe they will stop trying to undermine the administration.
Based on the article you just wrote?....Trump can't make a move against anything Russian related without it being misconstrued or misinterpreted as obstruction of justice and/or using intimidation tactics to obstruct justice. His hands are literally tied and they know it..
I grant that anything President Trump does will be attacked. So, I would hope he would undertake being attacked for doing in Syria and Yemen what is the best for people there - because that's what's best for people here too.
Not to mention Russia. While being attacked by leftists and the like in US politics is bad, it's better than being attacked by Russia. Seems to me the Neocons are hell bent on forcing Russia/US war.
Perhaps you missed my point about President Trump not only not dismantling the bureaucracy that wields this power, but expanding it.
I am not a partisan. I am free, and intend all people to be. All those that abuse government, surveillance, and financial rapine are criminals, and the enemies of freedom, IMHO.

It's not that interesting, the answer is quite simple, any move he makes against anything Russian related could be construed or misinterpreted by some as trying to obstruction justice and/or as a intimidation tactic to try and obstruct justice. That's why nothing is being done, including firing Sessions right now, if he fired Sessions they'd accuse him of trying to find someone who will undermine the investigation on his behalf. They are loving it because it literally keeps his hands tied. That's why they keep the game rolling despite as of yet no evidence found of collusion, they literally have him tied over a barrel.

We defeated the Nazis without secret courts. We don't really need them now, they say they need them but they are full of shit.

It is interesting that he has chosen not to dismantle the dirty FISA court or work to expose it even after it was used against him.
