Welcome to The Daily Wrap Up, a concise show dedicated to bringing you the most relevant independent news, as we see it, from the last 24 hours (8/29/18).
"In a time of such obvious deceit and aggressive manipulation, not only by those who once sought our votes or our subservience, but today even by each other, unwittingly doing the bidding of those who seek to control our every purchase, our every click, view and action, one would think that every plan and decision put forth by these known liars of our recent past and present political elite, would be immediately scrutinized and deconstructed for motivation and corruption. Yet that is not exactly the case, at least not where it matters.
How did this come about? How did they create a culture in which we are now doing the deceiving for them, one in which we are no longer skeptical but accepting, willing, pleading for their solution? This happened, as it always has, by allowing us to think that it is of our own creation. Creating a problem for which they have already been planning a “solution” for years, waiting for us to react accordingly, and then giving the slightest of resistance, lest we feel we did not have to fight for what we have been programmed to think we want. And finally they put into effect what they wanted all along, allowing us to think we won the day."
This was the opening from my recent interview with James Corbett, and as this was spoken clearly with the idea of social media regulation in mind, and how they are manipulation the public into calling for more government control of our day-to-day lives, I wanted to reiterate this today, because the same sentiment applies broadly to all of the topics discussed in today's show. Many powerful entities are currently trying, very aggressively, to manipulate your perception in every imaginable way. Most prominent of which is in regard to US foreign policy, and the atrocities therein. This is largely due to the fact that many are beginning to see through the facade, and this scares them, as it means they are losing control of the narrative, hence the social media crack down. So as always I have carefully picked out the topics from today that best demonstrate what is actually going on in the world, and how that greatly differs from what the average American is being fed by the bought-and-sold corporate media talking heads.
It is difficult, however, with all that is going on, to pick and choose which stories are most important. Much of what we have been discussing lately has had to do with Yemen, Palestine and Syria, as those are, in my opinion, the worst of what is happening today, and most relevant to the truth; two of which are some of the worst humanitarian crises in the world at the moment -- and are being created, perpetrated, even intensified by the US and its backed forces -- and the other is another crisis waiting to happen, should the world be taken by yet another obviously false propaganda campaign by the West.
Yet do not for one second think that this is all there is. We could have just as easily talked about US colonialism in Africa, and the rising extremists threats in Libya being created by US Foreign policy, or even the recent violent coup in Nicaragua, that the US was directly behind, and that which they successfully fought off.
At the end of the day, I hope you think on the opening two paragraphs above, and realize just how aggressively these powerful forces are trying to manipulate your perception, and stand against it.
As always, take the information discussed in the video below and research it for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. Anyone telling you what the truth is, or claiming they have the answer, is likely leading you astray, for one reason or another. Stay Vigilant.
