In the five mega projects of Chittagong, Soya 6 thousand crores

Four of the projects are the priority list of Prime Minister's priority projects. These are the much-awaited Chittagong-Dohazari-Cox's Bazar-Ghunadhum Railline Project, floating LNG terminals project at Moheshkhali, 1200 MW coal-fired power plant at Moheshkhali and Sonadia deep seaport project. One of the most important projects outside the country is also to be allocated for construction of the first tunnel built on the banks of the Karnaphuli River. However, the minister did not make any allocation to the budget for the construction of the Sonadia deep seaport project.

Member of Chittagong Port-Patenga constituency MA Latif said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina once again proved how important it is to consider the development of Chittagong and Chittagong. In the election year, these big projects should increase the supervision to get visible progress in the work and ensure the proper expenditure of the allocation to the people
