As you may recall, Bianca Roberson was a 2017 graduate of Rustin High School who was killed in a road-rage shooting between Exton and West Chester in Pennsylvania last June. The hunt for the killer made national news and lasted for several days until David Desper turned himself in. Today, the West Chester Patch is reporting that Desper, has pleaded guilty to charges of 3rd degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime.
The sentencing hearing is scheduled for later this year or early 2019. According to NBC Philadelphia, Desper faces up to 40 years in prison for the murder charge and additional time for the weapons violation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Roberson family during this continuing time of difficulty. Here is a composition, In Memoriam, that Rustin marching band member @cmp2020 composed last year to honor Bianca's memory.
The @rgkmb-unofficial account is an experimental account that is operated by Steve Palmer (@remlaps). The account's purpose is to demonstrate the viability of a fund-raising model that is based on use of the Steem block chain in the community. The account's goal for 2018 is to raise enough money to send one student on the Rustin Golden Knight Marching Band's trip from Pennsylvania to Florida in December for performances in the Citrus Parade and in Disney.
