BOMB Cyclone Rocked the US Like a Hurricane!!!
Courtesy: Ryan McBride/AFP/Getty Images (Source)Winter Storm Riley made a HUGE impact on the United States' Eastern Seaboard late last week. Residents from North Carolina to Maine felt the brute force of this massive cyclone as it underwent 'Bombogenesis'.
According to the NOAA, Bombogenesis occurs when a midlatitude cyclone rapidly intensifies, dropping at least 24 millibars over 24 hours.
You may also hear meteorologists call it "bombing out"... A fitting term, considering that #Riley just hit the US like a bomb.
Schools and businesses closed, flights were grounded, and millions were left without power from the massive damage caused when hurricane-force winds and record flooding inundated portions of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states... But this was far from your average disaster!

Remember when the meteorologists were saying how extremely rare and unprecedented the January "BOMB CYCLONE" was?... I guess it's not so rare when your country is under Divine Chastisement!
By the way, the word "CYCLONE" is just another word for "HURRICANE", but they don't want to let the public know that they're still getting hit by hurricanes in winter!!!... So yes, America is still experiencing the "ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE" chastisement WAAAAAY after the official hurricane season has ended!
Winter Storm Riley began as a potent cold front sweeping across the country, bringing rain and snow to several northern states, but once it got over open ocean, it tapped the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, where two systems converged and exploded just south of Long Island. Despite being a cold-core low pressure system, Riley even took on the appearance of a hurricane with a clearly defined 'eye'!
