Sri Lanka's medal prospect for Sri Lanka's 400m youths jumped in the night of 12th at the 17th World Junior Athletic Championship. Aruna Darshana of Weerakapetipola National School of Ariyambodha who secured 3rd place in the 3rd place was placed 5th in the event. His competition time of 46: 75 seconds.
