The work involves its ongoing support for a Federally Funded Research and Development Center, and specifically for general life-cycle systems engineering for the national security space community. The company's CEO is Steve Isakowitz, the former chief financial officer for the US Department of Energy, who then managed a budget of $30 billion. Isakowitz was previously the Science and Space Programs Branch Chief in the White House Office of Management and Budget where he oversaw a budget of $50 billion.
