Last Friday's big winner in the award of defense contracts was a group of six Colorado companies sharing a $200 million contract for construction and maintenance of roadways, bridges, sidewalks, parking areas, airfields, and runways at Buckley Air Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Fort Carson Army Post, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, and the US Air Force Academy.
