Are Bosnians Uniting Across Ethnic Lines Against Corruption?
Journalist-activist Dejan Šajinović, of the Banja Luka daily Nezavisne novine, joins Josh Friedman at the protest camp and memorial for the late David Dragicevic in Banja Luka to discuss the alleged murder and cover-up, as well as its implications on the 2018 Bosnian elections and on politics in general in both Republika Srpska and Bosnia as a whole. Also, is a similar case in Sarajevo prompting Bosnians to unite across ethnic lines and protest government corruption and demand political change?
The video includes footage from the Oct. 6, 2018 demonstration - part of a months-long series of nightly gatherings - honoring David Dragicevic and demanding truth and justice from the Republika Srpska authorities. Dragicevic's father is seen honoring his late son and calling for free and fair elections. The demonstrators are also singing a song written by Dragicevic.
