eHawk, the Tesla S Model that exceeds the barrier of the 482,000 km traveled

in #news7 years ago

Named eHawk by its owners, Californian company Tesloop, a Tesla Model S of 2015 has set a milestone: it totals more than 300,000 miles (more than 482,000 kilometers) and continues, according to its owners, to be able to stay on the road during long time

This model reaches up to 17,000 miles per month, as the rest of the fleet of this firm specialized in the provision of vehicle sharing services, all of them Model X, except eHawk.

Tesloop, which allows access to all records of this record model through this link, premiered in 2015 with this Model S its innovative business model. "We are driving a new generation of transport platform to offer today a mobility experience of the future," said its founder, Haydn Sonnad, on this initiative.

Returning to the Tesla Model S that surpassed the 300,000-mile barrier circulated last August 29, the firm claims that in all its months of service, eHawk has only spent 12 days in the store, in addition to requiring an investment of less than $ 10,500. Of these, 6,900 were for maintenance and 3,500 for the repair of damage to the headlights, caused by driving in deep waters.

If, instead of a Model S, the company had opted for another model, the expenses would have shot up, as much as multiplying by eight. Thus, according to Tesloop, if instead of this Tesla vehicle, eHawk was a Mercedes S, the cost of maintenance and fuel would have amounted to $ 86,000 in 112 days of service. In the case of a Lincoln Town Car, and lowering the period to 100 days, the expense would have reached 70,000 dollars.

Although saving $ 60,000 in maintenance is a win for the Californian company, it points to "a real triumph" for its eHawk and the fact that it "is ready for another 900,000 miles over the next 6 years under warranty." At this point, they emphasize, a conventional vehicle would be near the end of its useful life, quite the opposite that this Model S that still has way to go.
