Crypto News Flash #241: U.S. Students On An Average Of 18% Owns Some Type Of Cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrencies have certainly become famous among the people of every age especially 20-30 years age group. Students have a keen interest in cryptocurrencies and worldwide, majority of students owns some type of cryptocurrency in their digital wallet.

But when it comes to U.S., the results are shocking. U.S. students owns some type of cryptocurrency by the average rate of 18%. Well, this is great for the cryptocurrency space as majority of students of students all over the world are keeping an eye on cryptocurrency.

A survey was conducted by Coinbase in a partnership with Qirously on 675 students. 18% of students said that they own some cryptocurrency while 25% of them said that they will definitely wants to own some crypto and register for a Blockchain centric course in immediate future.

David Yermack, the finance department chair at New York University Stern School of Business said recently that:

“A process is well underway that will lead to the migration of most financial data to blockchain-based organizations. Students will benefit greatly by studying this area.”

If we look at the Worldwide statistics, only 1% of population owns the cryptocurrencies while 58% of population own a smartphone. So, there's huge room for cryptocurrencies to grow in near future.
