RE: Massive White Helmets Photo Cache Proves Hollywood Gave Oscar to Terrorist Group - Archived For Posterity in New Age of Internet Censorship (N.S.F.W.)

in #news6 years ago

Based on the content of this post I had expected to see more mention regarding the history of the Syrian Civil Defense, it's founders, any notable outside groups/individuals, and the network that disseminates White Helmet-sourced information.. i.e. Elliot Higgins of Bellingcat & Atlantic Council as well as Rami Abdulrahman of The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights..

Sort:

My understanding is that the true Syrian civil defense is called the Red Helmets. As for the network disseminating information, some of the journalists are Janice Kortkamp, Vanessa Beeley, Eva Karene Bartlett, @sarahabed, Pearson Sharp, Caitlyn Johnstone... & of course, @clarityofsignal has done an amazing job of putting research together. All voices in this fight matter. We need all of them.

That information is in the last few videos towards the bottom of the post and is presented by James Corbett, Vanessa Beesley, 21st Century Wire, Patrick Henningsen and Cory Morningstar, amongst others. Here also is a link to Cory Morningstars early work exposing Avaaz and some of the other players who fomented the social media campaign in support of the FSA.

SYRIA: AVAAZ, PURPOSE & THE ART OF SELLING HATE FOR EMPIRE

http://www.wrongkindofgreen.org/2014/09/17/syria-avaaz-purpose-the-art-of-selling-hate-for-empire/

Avaaz played a key role disseminating misinformation about the origins and events of the Syrian war while calling for a No-Fly zone on behalf of the FSA (comprised of terrorist groups). Morningstar reveal the main players in the US government and NGO's involved with Avaaz and pushing the false narratives. The fact that many of these main players were dems as well as republicans explains why sites like Democracy Now, The Guardian, The Intercept and TruthDig all presented the false narratives that led to the mis-framing of the origins of the war and events therein. The so called 'progressive' left was deceived all along, as was the right.

My apologies, I had not read the entirety of this post with enough depth. I am familiar with most of the investigative journalists mentioned above..

The onset of the Syrian War coincided with the period of time encompassing inorganic uprisings throughout numerous MENA nation-states.. this, of course, is popularly referred to as the "Arab Spring." I had originally been under the assumption that the Involved Parties had implemented an incorrect calculus in fomenting the abdication of Bashar Assad as well as the overall degradation of Alawi influence in Syria.

However, I now firmly believe that this conflict has been implemented as a means to weaken Iran's military capacity, logistical efficiency, and strategic positioning. For some time, in a geopolitical context, Iran has been confined within a Pincer formation by its GCC competitors and their Western allies. Now, Iran has increased the area of operations of its military. This should logically result in an increase of stress in Iran's supply chains. Another factor to consider is the monetary effects of this endeavor with specific focus on the impact to the Iranian Rial's purchasing power. I consider the market pricing of Brent Crude Oil Futures and, more importantly, the market pricing of US Dollar Futures (Iran relies on hydrocarbon exports to generate foreign-exchange reserves) as a bellwether of domestic volatility in Iran.

No worries. It is a massive amount of information.
