Why They are Trying to Destroy Syria?
@smidge-tv asked me an important question in reply to my previous post sharing 'Syrian Democratic Forces Are NATO Wetworkers'. The question was: What is your take , why are they trying to destroy your country ?

I tried to answer in the reply on the same post but due to the importance of the reasons I mentioned there, I thought maybe better to keep it in its own post for further followers. It'll be great if you would share, resteem or comment on this post with your own views.
We have been explaining the same over the past almost 7 years, I'll give some of the reasons here again but I suggest you get to follow syrianews.cc, you can subscribe to the newsletter there, you can find the link to subscribe at the bottom of any of the posts there.
- Syria has massive untapped gas deposits offshore and in northwest of Damascus, the Syrian capital.
- Syria was supposed to be the main route for the Qatari gas pipeline heading to Europe which was supposed to strangle both Russia and Iran by offering Europe much cheaper gas, we saw how Saudi increased their share in oil from 2 Million barrels per day to 11 million bpd which dropped the prices dramatically and caused huge problems to Russian and Iranian economies, imagine adding the gas exports to that.
- Syria is the only country in the region that doesn't recognize Israel and is practically at war with the Zionist state, only abiding by a 1974 truce signed post the October 1973 war.
- Syria is the only secular country in the region. Turkey was secular until the Muslim Brotherhood took over. Israel wants to be a Jewish state, Saudi is leading a Wahhabi arch that includes all of GCC and Jordan, Iran is leading a Shiite arch, Iraq and Lebanon constitutions are sectarian based. So a secular Syria is a threat to all those enclaves.
- Syria's central bank isn't linked to the Federal Reserves in any way nor to the London Bank, nor to the World Bank or IMF.
- Syria follows a mix social and capital economy providing all essentials to the residents (citizens and guests) including free healthcare from headache to cancer treatment, free education from kindergarten to PhD to even scholarship grants abroad... Offers subsidized other essentials like fuel, wheat, power et al to the extent that prices for those are not more than 1/5th of the same in all neighboring countries.
- Syria bans GMOs, something that if spread to other countries harm the US's economy.
- Syria is geographically located in the most complicated geopolitical map making whoever in control of Syria controls the politics in the whole region.
- Syria stood firmly against the US and UK invasion to Iraq to the extent of forcing them to lose the war.
- Syria hosted before the crisis the only navy service base in Tartous for Russia outside its borders giving the Russian navy fleet access to the world. Now it hosts the Russian air base in Hmemim as well.
- Syria has a very active political multi-party system with 19 parties most of which are represented in the parliament and the coalition led by the Baath party including 5 major parties is properly represented in the government.
- Syria is the only country that 2 of its sitting defense ministers were killed while defending their country, one was Youssef al-Azmeh who fought against the French invasion in 1920, the other was Christian Daoud Rajha killed in the 2012 terror attack by the French and US intelligence against the 'Crisis Cell' that was overseeing the security situation in Syria.
- Syria alone sponsored Hezbollah in Lebanon, among other national resistance parties, who fought a ferocious battle against Israel until forcing the Israelis to withdraw from South Lebanon in the year 2000, then supported the same parties along with Iran during the 2006 failed Israeli attack against Lebanon.
- Syria hosted over 600,000 Palestinians in the country and was and is the only country that allowed the Palestinians to maintain their Palestinian ID and at the same time enjoy the same rights of the Syrian citizens. Syria also hosted the only Palestinian Liberation Army, the official army for Palestinians and a number of Palestinian movements, including Hamas which betrayed Syria with its other Muslim Brotherhood branches in Turkey and ISIS at their first chance.
- Syria hosted around 2 million Iraqis who fled the US and UK invasion of their country and treated them like its own citizens and never erected a single tent to host them, instead received them in its cities and hosted them in Syrian people's houses.
- Syria is the country historically where each oppressed group of people would seek refuge and that includes but limited to: Armenians, Kurds, Greeks, Caucasians... even South Africa's Nelson Mandela's party (African National Congress) had its only branch outside SA in Damascus.
That's just a few reasons why the West and its regional stooges wants to destroy Syria.

Thanks for sharing, very important points you raised there and what really hurts is the payback Syrians got from all those they helped, with exception to the South Africans and most of the Palestinian factions who stood firm with the Syrian people, unlike HAMAS who betrayed Syria for Turkey and the other Muslim Brotherhood controlled states.
You're making it too complicated. It goes like this:
SDF is trying to liberate themselves from beneath a dictator (or at least a non-Sunni dictator)
US and allies support them in order to geopolitically counter Iran and Russia.
That's the mainstream media propaganda, it's already exposed as fake news, you can now come back to reality. Or better do this simple task: Draw on a piece of paper two boxes and in one put Syria and the other put Kurdistan. Under Syria write down the Syrian government allies (hint: Russia, China and Iran are among them) and under Kurdistan write down their allies (hint: Saudi, Israel are among them).
Now think: Who created al-Qaeda? Who saw, if not created, ISIS growing and instead of fighting it they provided it with weapons, money and air cover?
Once you read your paper come back here and apologize, it's never late to un-sheeple yourself.

You should probably read the entire comment before responding next time.
I read your entire comment thus my reply in full.
No you didn't. You declared my comment to be "fake news", despite my second point being usually ignore by the media, and then said a bunch of things that don't even contradict what I said. If I need to "unsheeple" myself, whatever that means, you need to learn basic reading comprehension.
Strange. You know we have extensive knowledge about everything media and those who include their attacks with some other news. Explain which dictator the Kurdish guests who were hosted by Syrians when they sought refuge are living under in your first comment?
That's a lame way to cover your attack with the second comment warning of the next targets Iran and Russia.
I am Syrian and you are barking at the wrong tree.
Here is a sheeple for your info: Sheeple
After Syria the next target is either Lebanon or Iran but Iran is the final target that will be attacked. This is why they don't want Iran to get nukes. Because if Iran gets nukes it will have insurance to guarantee it's survival like North Korea has. Look at the USA response to Kim. NOTHING. Yes a military drill and some ships moving here and there but this is nothing new. Kim is safe in his country and the USA will never attack, invade etc.
I am not Iranian but if I was I would absolutely want my country to get nukes to prevent a Iraq, Syria, Libya scenario from happening. One should ask a simple question ofcourse as westerners we do not like the from our point of view lack of freedom that exists in Iran but why is Saudi Arabia a "friend". What the hell does the west have in common with a restrictive country like Saudi Arabia and why is the USA enforcing a pro Sunni Wahabi policy against shia Iran. It makes no sense at all. Unless ghe goal is exactly what we are seeing CHAOS. Think about it. The region had stability before. Now it is very unstable. Dangerous. People are dying in huge numbers all the time. All the while the USA is selling weapons and technology to these countries. The more you fight the more you need and the more money they make. Instead of you being like Dubai or the UAE you are becoming 3rd world. Your weakness allows a strong 1st world country like the USA to come in and dominate your future and make huge profits while doing it. People always talk about oil. Yes oil is a big factor but I think power is the bigger factor because if you dominate politically and militarily you still get the oil. Think about it.
Thanks for the reply, very insightful and mind opening questions for your peers in the West. We tried over the years to explain to many but sadly the 'establishment' owns the mainstream media. We had multiple accounts on social media closed because the 'free speech' lovers don't like the people to hear from the other side, example: http://www.syrianews.cc/youtube-channel-deleted/
We have a number of western activists who understood the plot and are doing their best to spread knowledge, 3 of them write directly to syrianews.cc, we need to engage more Westerners and the more they ask the more they'll get info.
