SDF troops capture new areas in southeast Deir Ezzor

BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) - The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) scored a new advance in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor after previously repelling another Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh).

According to reports from the Deir Ezzor countryside, the Syrian Democratic Forces advanced along the Jabal Baghouz front, forcing Daesh to fall back towards the town of Baghouz Al-Fouqani.

Meanwhile, at the key town of Hajin, the Syrian Democratic Forces reportedly took control of the local hospital after a big firefight against Daesh.

Previously, social media activists claimed that the Syrian Democratic Forces captured the Hajin hospital; however, it appears that they may have been driven back.

The Syrian Democratic Forces are now working to capture the remaining parts of Hajin that are still occupied by the Islamic State terrorist organization.
