Russian FM accuses militants in Idlib of committing provocations
BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 P.M.) - The Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova accused the militants in the Idlib Governorate of committing provocations inside the province.
"We are still receiving information on the imitation of chemical attacks that had been prepared by terrorists at a large scale in Idleb in order to blame the government of committing them," she said during a press conference.
While Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no plans to launch an operation in the Idlib Governorate, the jihadist rebels have still carried out attacks against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) near the buffer zone.
The jihadist rebels have until October 15th to depart from the Idlib buffer zone or else the Turkish and Russian forces will have to forcibly remove them from the area.
